At Street Youth Ministry, we believe lasting change happens through consistent relationships, not one time interactions. While our outreach looked different this year, the results tell an encouraging story.

Finding the Young People Who Need Us Most

In June, we connected with 375 unique neighbors. Although this represents a decrease from June 2025, it reflects our intentional decision to reduce outreach frequency in response to current volunteer capacity and funding levels.

What matters most is that our outreach is becoming more effective.

By using donated food, clothing, and practical resources to build trust with everyone we meet, we are reaching more young adults experiencing homelessness for the first time.

The first half of 2026 has reinforced our commitment to a simple philosophy: depth over volume.

Rather than measuring success only by the number of people we encounter, we invest in helping young adults stay connected, set goals, and continue making progress over time.

That approach is producing measurable results.

First Half of 2026 Highlights

• 1,267 unique neighbors served, maintaining a steady level of community reach compared with last year
• 65 deeply engaged clients, a 10% increase over the first half of 2025
• 47 deeply engaged clients in June, representing a remarkable 56% increase compared to the same month last year

These numbers represent young adults choosing to return, build trust, receive guidance, and work toward lasting life change.

The Power of Consistent Guidance

One trend continues to stand out above all others.

Clients who stay actively engaged with Street Youth Ministry are 14.1 times more likely to achieve six or more significant life milestones than those who are not consistently engaged.

Housing. Employment. Better health. Stronger relationships. Personal growth.

These milestones rarely happen because of a single conversation. They happen because someone keeps showing up, keeps asking for help, and knows there are people ready to walk alongside them.

Our impact isn't simply measured by how many people we meet. It is measured by how many lives continue moving forward because someone chose to stay connected.
