Unpacking Our Mission: SYMin.org's Vision for Austin's Homeless Youth
Street Youth Ministry Mission: Know, Love and Serve
Why does the order of “know, love and serve” matter?
In this 2016 mission explanation, Terry describes Street Youth Ministry’s guiding phrase: know, love and serve.
He says the sequence matters: learn about young people, care for them and then decide how best to offer service. He identifies the people served as street-dependent young people.
Terry also describes the ministry’s Christian purpose and the witnessing community it seeks to develop around young people. These are the speaker’s stated beliefs and organizational aims.
