"β€œPersistence isn't about waiting for things to get easy; it’s about doing the work until the door opens.”"

No matter how steep the hill looks, the steps you take every day are moving you forward.

Your Hard Work Is Paying Off

Your journey is the map we follow at SYMin, and your choices lead the way. Even when life feels tough, you continue to show that persistence and hard work can make a difference.

From mid-August to mid-September, you achieved 88 hard-won victories, averaging nearly three meaningful wins every day!

Here are some of the ways you moved forward.

Self-Care and Personal Well-Being: 24 Wins

You made your mental and physical health a priority. From exploring your creativity in Art Group to building daily routines, setting healthy boundaries, and managing your physical health, you showed that taking care of yourself is an important part of moving forward.

Housing and Stability: 22 Wins

You found ways to stay safe and secure. Some of you signed leases for new apartments, moved in with family, stayed with supportive friends, or paid for motel rooms by the week. Each step helped you work towards greater stability.

Employment and Income: 16 Wins

You kept working towards financial independence. You started jobs at places like Lowe's, worked in concessions, walked dogs, completed data annotation tasks, and maintained employment to cover expenses such as rent, motel stays, and transportation.

More Wins Worth Celebrating

Your progress reached beyond these three areas:

  • Transportation: 4 wins through steps towards getting scooters and cars.
  • Sobriety: 4 wins as you continued working towards your goals.
  • Medical and mental health care: 6 wins through steps to address your health and well-being.
  • Other milestones included replacing lost identification documents and making progress in college classes.

Every one of these accomplishments represents effort, persistence, and a decision to keep moving forward.

Your Progress Matters

One client recently shared that having relational guidance and support β€œliterally saved my life.”

That is a powerful reminder that you do not have to figure everything out alone. Asking for help, accepting support, and continuing to work towards your goals are all signs of progress.

We are proud to walk beside you. Keep going, keep recognising your wins, and remember that your next step matters.
